South Kensington

How can I find your South Kensington accommodation and event spaces?

Public transport: The nearest London Underground (tube) stations are South Kensington and Gloucester Road, a 10-minute walk away. From here, you can take the District, Circle and Piccadilly lines to anywhere in London.

By bicycle: There are 800 Santander Bicycle Stations across London with three surrounding our South Kensington campus. Ride to your event for as little as £1.65. For more information about renting a bicycle visit the Santander Cycles website.

Is car parking available?

A very limited number of car parking spaces are available to guests staying at Prince’s Gardens or Beit Hall. This must be pre-booked at least seven days in advance and is subject to availability. The cost is £3.00 per hour or £22.00 overnight . Entry is via Exhibition Road, SW7 2BX. Parking in the streets around Beit Hall and Prince’s Gardens is on a pay and display basis for limited periods only.

Booking

You must pre-book your parking space before you arrive to avoid being turned away. To book, please email car.park@imperial.ac.uk and provide:

• your car make and model;
• your registration (licence plate) number;
• your arrival and departure date.

Unfortunately camper vans, mini buses and coaches are not able to park on site.

London congestion charge and ULEZ

ULEZ (Ultra Low Emission Zone) is now in effect across London. Vehicles which do not meet the new ULEZ standards must pay a £12.50 daily charge to drive within the zone. ULEZ operates 24-hours a day, seven days a week.

Although South Kensington is not in the congestion charge zone, if your journey passes through Central London you are liable to pay the congestion charge, at a rate of £15.00 per day. The congestion charge operates:

Monday to Friday: 07.00 – 18.00
Weekends and bank holidays: 12.00 – 18.00

North Acton

How can I find your North Acton accommodation and event spaces?

Public transport: The nearest London Underground (tube) station is North Acton, a two-minute walk away, with direct access to the Central line.

By coach: Coaches can drop off or pick up guests in front of Kemp Porter Buildings and Woodward Buildings main entrances on Victoria Road. The maximum standing time is 20 minutes. There is no coach parking available. The nearest coach parking is at Westfield Shopping Centre, W12 7GF.

Is car parking available?

Unfortunately car parking is not available on site.

The nearest car park is Travelodge London Park Royal Car Park, W3 0TE. Prices start from £7.00 per day.

Do you offer free WiFi?

Complimentary WiFi is available throughout our accommodation and event spaces for you and your guests.

To access our WiFi, please select ‘The Cloud’ from your available network list and follow the instructions. Cabled internet is available in all bedrooms, guests are required to supply their own ethernet cable.

Are there multi-faith prayer rooms available?

Yes, multi-faith prayer rooms are available on both our South Kensington and North Acton campuses. Please contact our team for instructions on how to access our multi-faith prayer rooms.
